 The changes I would make to my faculty

I am currently in my second year of architecture, I study in the Faculty of Urban Planning of the University of Chile. 

So far I have really liked some of my classes, like geometry and modern architecture´s problems. I really like mathematics in general and I think classes like modern architecture´s problems or history are really interesting and help you learn how architecture really is. 

Anyway, I think that the study plan is lacking in some ways, I really think that there should be a class where there are not many rules and conditions, and let you be creative and make things without thinking twice about it; I believe that sometimes there are so many rules and structure that you kinda forget what you actually like and why you like it. I also feel like sometimes teachers assume that we know stuff that we never really learn in classes. On the other hand, I think that the duration of the career is fine, you do need 5 years to become an architect, but the workload is a lot, and it can be harmful for our health. 

About the faculty itself, I think there's a lot to improve, I don´t think by any means it is ugly, we have some really pretty spots, like the forest patio on the B-building, there's a big stone staircase. But it does need some restoration in some places and classrooms, also we need nursing, keeping in mind that we work with tools that can be dangerous, like knives, and swelled tools. We also need more tables, green spaces or benches for recess.
